And we even got a new set of Wahl Magic Clip's from Wahl themselves! From backstage conversations with world-class barbers to editorial shoots with photographer Liam Oakes, this episode captures what happens when fashion, hair and community all collide in one space. What started as an opportunity to learn quickly became a moment of growth for the whole team — landing a feature in Barber Evo Magazine and pushing the vision for UNDERFOUND even further. But this episode isn’t just about industry recognition. Back at the shop, the cameras follow the graft that people don’t usually see; stock checks in the basement, refining the Playing God product line, and the constant balancing act of running an independent business while trying to build something bigger than yourself. Transformative cuts, bold styling choices, and one seriously tentative customer with a mullet — alongside a reminder that barbering can have impact beyond appearance, with hair clippings being recycled to support sea turtle conservation projects through Ocean Matters. At the centre of it all are Andy and Rhiannah, who are attempting to pull together a major photoshoot for the independent fashion brand Incarnate®. With almost no budget and barely enough time to organise the shoot, the pressure quickly begins to mount. Locations need securing. Concepts need developing. Models, photographers and stylists must all come together. And everything needs to happen fast. Heavy Pencil – Episode 2 Gunslinger | Filming the King Kartel Music Video Sometimes the biggest creative opportunities start with a simple promise. In this episode of Heavy Pencil, Andy makes a bold decision that throws the entire team into uncharted territory — offering to produce a music video for local band King Kartel without consulting Rhiannah or the rest of the crew. What seemed like a good idea at the time quickly becomes a logistical nightmare. With no budget, limited equipment, and very little time to prepare, the group must figure out how to pull off a full music video production while also continuing to film the documentary itself. Locations need organising, lighting setups need building, and everyone must step into roles they’ve never attempted before. To make things even more challenging, the team only has a small window to shoot at The Old Courts in Wigan, meaning every minute counts. As the pressure builds and the scale of the project becomes clear, the crew must rely on creativity, improvisation and sheer determination to bring the vision to life. What follows is one of the most ambitious moments of the series — capturing both the chaos and the excitement of creating something from nothing. After seeing the cast in action, the organisers invite them to take part in an upcoming fashion event called Recovery Rooms, offering the chance to both exhibit their work and walk the catwalk themselves. For a group of creatives used to working behind the scenes, stepping into the spotlight brings a whole new set of challenges. Andy immediately sees the potential of the opportunity and begins planning how the team can take part - but not everyone is on board with the sudden commitment. Despite his best efforts to keep things under control, Rhiannah soon discovers what Andy has signed them all up for, and the reality of preparing for a major fashion event begins to set in. With little time to prepare and expectations rising, the team must decide whether they’re ready to take their work from small creative projects to a public stage. Heavy Pencil – Episode 4 Comfort Zones | Preparing for Recovery Rooms With the Recovery Rooms fashion event approaching, the pressure begins to build for the Heavy Pencil crew. In this episode the group gather at their friend Artur’s dance studio to host catwalk auditions for the upcoming show. What starts as a simple casting session quickly turns into something much more challenging when the participants are thrown into an unexpected dance lesson. For some of the cast stepping onto a runway, let alone learning choreography , pushes them completely out of their comfort zones. Confidence is tested, nerves start to show, and it becomes clear that walking a catwalk requires far more preparation than anyone anticipated. Meanwhile, away from the auditions, Andy meets with Luke to begin organising the many moving parts needed to bring their Recovery Rooms exhibition together. With tasks piling up and deadlines looming, the team must figure out how to transform a group of creatives with big ideas into a coordinated production ready for the stage.
